L'orgue Automatique

This blog shows the progress day after day of a midi organ building. Midi organ is a barrel organ without cardboard or paper roll, just driven by a computer. It can be virtually as small as a busker and as big as a church organ. When you begin the construction you are are not sure of what size it will be! solenoïds

Automatic organ....Solenoïds

These are solenoïds. They are 24v , 0.2A.I have to make the "valves" with brass and leather. There is no spring, it works by gravity. My friends Ian Jefferies made tests and it seems to be good.. The solenoïds are glued on aluminium flat angle brackets.
